T.W.E.P.'s annual "Live Animal" program scheduled for February 7 with Shaver's Creek personnel and their "Birds of Prey - Owls" program is postponed. The program is rescheduled for March 7 at 3:00 and will be run in the auditorium of the James Buchanan Middle School. Art from the local elementary schools will be on display at the Center. Doors open at the Center at 2:00. The art can be viewed from 2 - 3 and after the Owl program, from 4 - 5:00. Those families that have a TWEP membership can plan to attend free, while those that don't will pay a nominal fee which will help support continuing activities . |

Plan to join us at our annual Basket Bingo. This year our Basket Bingo is set for February 21 at the Mercersburg Sportsman's Club. Doors open early! Many of our baskets are loaded! Take a look at last year's displays. Tickets will be available at Snider's Jewelers and at the Center.  |

Winter Happenings at the Center Our December Open House was a success with the help of students from the J.B.H.S. Art Club under the direction of Anita Shively. Young visitors to the Center enjoyed creating ornaments for their Christmas trees by using objects collected from nature, including pine cones and other seed pods. The children also enjoyed making treats for the birds this winter by melting peanut butter over pine cones and then adding sunflowers. The windy winter winds at the Center blew visitors in the door to enjoy the day.
